REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Grass Cutting ServiceThe Valley Park Fire Protection District (the "District") is requesting proposals from qualified independent contractors for grass cutting services. Proposals should be received at the Fire District Headquarters no later than 4:00 P.M. on December 26, 2023. The RPF packets will be opened at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Directors to be held that same evening at 6:30 p.m. We will announce the bidder thereafter.
Proposals will remain in the District property. Proposals must be delivered sealed and marked, "Grass Cutting Service" on the outside of the envelope. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to waive any irregularities. Details and specifications can be received by contacting the Fire District Headquarters located at 47 Crescent Ave. Valley Park, MO 63088 or calling 636-225-4288 Monday - Friday 7:30am till 4:00pm.
General Requirements:
1.1.1 The contractor shall provide grass cutting services at each of the facilities listed below on an as needed, if needed basis for the Valley Park Fire Protection District (District), in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the District.
*Fire Station 1: 840 St. Louis Avenue, Valley Park Missouri 63088
*Fire Station 2: 47 Crescent Avenue, Valley Park Missouri 63088
1.1.2 Unless otherwise specified herein, the contractor shall furnish all material, labor, facilities, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform the services required herein.
Performance Requirements for Snow Removal Services:
1.1.3 The contractor shall cut grass, weeds, etc. (referred to hereinafter as "grass") from the district properties.
a. Upon award of the contract, the contractor shall visit the agency facilities to become familiar with the layout of the fire district property.
1.1.4 The contractor shall be responsible for any damage to the parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and/or other property as a result of the contractor's negligence.
a. The contractor must not use equipment with steel tracks or other equipment which may cause immediate or later damages to the parking lots, driveways, and/or sidewalks.
b. The contractor shall repair any parking lot, driveway, or sidewalk damaged by negligent labor or equipment used by the contractor.
1.1.5 Termination - The District reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time.
1.1.6 Contractor Liability - The contractor shall be responsible for any and all personal injury (including death) or property damage as a result of the contractor's negligence involving any equipment or service provided under the terms and conditions, requirements and specifications of the contract.
1.1.7 Insurance - The contractor must acquire and maintain adequate liability insurance.
a. In the event any insurance coverage is canceled, the state agency must be notified at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to such cancellation.
