2024 Board of Education Election NoticeFiling for the Board of Education election in the School District of Clayton will begin on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 8 a.m. and ends on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. Two directors will be elected to three-year terms (April 2024 - April 2027). The General Municipal Election day is Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Candidates must file in person at the School District of Clayton Administrative Center located at #2 Mark Twain Circle, Clayton, 63105. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. during the filing period with the exception of the first and last day of filing. On the first day of filing (December 5, 2023), the office will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. On the last day of filing (December 26, 2023), the office will open at 8:30 a.m. and will close at 5:00 p.m. Filing will not occur or be accepted on days the district office is closed due to inclement weather or on the following dates: December 22 and December 25, 2023. Per district Policy BBB, the ballot order for all candidates who file by 5:00 p.m. on December 5 will be determined by random drawing. Candidates filing after December 5 will be placed on the ballot in the order of filing. Candidates filing on the last day should arrive by 4:00 p.m. to make sure the filing process is completed by the 5:00 p.m. deadline.
