NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGNotice is hereby given that the City of St. Charles, Missouri will conduct a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and before the City Council on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street in the City of St. Charles, Missouri for the purpose of giving interested parties and citizens an opportunity to be heard on the following matters:
1. Case No. TA-2024-03. (City of St. Charles) An application to amend Chapter 400 Zoning Code of the Code of Ordinances specifically Section 400.421 Short-Term Rentals to prohibit new residential short-term rental to be processed or approved from June 15, 2024 through June 15, 2025.
Notice is hereby given that the City of St. Charles, Missouri will conduct a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and before the City Council on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street in the City of St. Charles, Missouri for the purpose of giving interested parties and citizens an opportunity to be heard on the following matters:
1. Case No. CU-2024-05. (Stephen Watson - Premiere Luxury Rental Cars LLC, DBA Resla) An application for a Conditional Use Permit per 400.220(C)(1)(c) for the Motor Vehicle Rentals within the C-2 General Commercial District located at 1360 S. 5th Street. The subject property is located in Ward 2.
2. Case No. Z-2024-12. (City of St. Charles) An application to rezone an approximately 0.5-acre tract of land known as 102 Howard Street, from C-3/EHP Highway Business District within the Extended Historic Preservation District to FD/EHP Frenchtown District within the Extended Historic Preservation District. The subject property is located in Ward 1.
3. Case No. Z-2024-14. (Robert Affholder - Ayke, LLC) An application to rezone 6 parcels known as 1514, 1600, 1604, 1626, 1630 and 1700 N. 2nd Street, from FD/FPD/EHP Frenchtown District within the Frenchtown Preservation District/Extended Historic Preservation District to FD/EHP Frenchtown District within the Extended Historic Preservation District. This request is specifically to remove the non-contributing structures/parcels of the above subject properties from the FPD, Frenchtown Preservation District but remain within the EHP, Extended Historic Preservation District. The subject properties are all located in Ward 1.
4. Case No. Z-2024-10. (SA Recycling, LLC) An application to rezone an overall 3.8-acre tract of land known as 232 Junior Drive, from I-1 Light Industrial District to I-2 Heavy Industrial District, specifically for the purpose of permitting a proposed expansion of existing non-conforming use (Materials Recovery Facility) within the existing I-1 Light Industrial District. The subject property is located in Ward 1. This item was TABLED at the April 29, 2024 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
5. Case No. CU-2024-04. (SA Recycling, LLC) An application for a Conditional Use Permit per §400.250(C)(17) for a Materials Recovery Facility within the proposed I-2 Heavy Industrial District, located at 232 Junior Drive. The subject property is located in Ward 1. This item was TABLED at the April 29, 2024 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
6. Case No. TA-2024-01. (City of St. Charles) An application to amend Chapter 400 Zoning Code of the Code of Ordinances specifically Section 400.970 Membership -- Appointment -- Compensation -- Terms -- Vacancies -- Removal -- Rules -- Meetings -- Officers -- Minutes and Records to amend the membership of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of St. Charles. This item was TABLED at the April 29, 2024 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
