NOTICE OF HEARING CITY PLAN COMMISSION OF KANSAS CITY MISSOURI April 2, 2024 9:00 amThe following cases will be heard by the City Plan Commission. The hearing will be hybrid, both in-person at City Hall, 414 East 12th Street, 10th Floor Council Committee Room, Kansas City, Missouri and virtually via Zoom. CD-CPC-2024-00012 A request to approve a development plan to allow for the construction of a residential mixed-use building in district M1-5 and B4-5 on about 1.1 acres generally located at the northeast corner of E 16th Street and Holmes Street. CD-CPC-2024-00019 A request to approve a development plan to allow for the construction of a hotel (lodging) in district B3-3 on about 2.4 acres generally located at NW Tiffany Springs Parkway and Interstate 29. CD-CPC-2024-00020 A request to approve a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Overlay for the Prospect Corridor to create development and site design standards for the Prospect Avenue area on about 854.28 acres located to generally include properties that front on Prospect Ave, from 12th St to 77th St, and properties that front on 12th St, from Charlotte Street to Prospect Avenue. In addition, properties adjacent to Prospect Avenue and along the cross streets are part of the Overlay District, specifically nodes at Truman Road, 18th Street, 23rd Street, 27th Street, 31st and Linwood Boulevard, 39th Street, Martin Luther King Jr, Boulevard, 63rd Street and Meyer Boulevard, Gregory Boulevard, and 75th Street. CD-CPC-2024-00023 A request to approve a rezoning in current Districts R-2.5 (Residential) and B3-3 (Commercial) to District B3-3 (Commercial) on about 12 generally located east of North Chatham Avenue on the north and south side of Northwest Prairieview Road. CD-MISC-2023-00004 A request to approve an Equitable Transit-Oriented Development Implementation Plan related to the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Overlay for the Prospect Corridor as a guiding document for development in the Prospect Avenue area on about 854.28 acres located to generally include properties that front on Prospect Ave, from 12th St to 77th St, and properties that front on 12th St, from Charlotte Street to Prospect Avenue. In addition, properties adjacent to Prospect Avenue and along the cross streets are part of the Overlay District, specifically nodes at Truman Road, 18th Street, 23rd Street, 27th Street, 31st and Linwood Boulevard, 39th Street, Martin Luther King Jr, Boulevard, 63rd Street and Meyer Boulevard, Gregory Boulevard, and 75th Street. CD-ROW-2023-00041 A request to approve a Vacation of Public Right of Way in District B3-2 (Commercial) of about 2175 Square Feet generally located east of Wyoming Street approximately 120 feet north of West 39th Street. CD-SUP-2024-00010 A request to approve a special use permit for the expansion of a vehicular use area for an elementary school in district R-7.5 on about 14.6 acres generally located at NW 87th Terrace and N. Platte Purchase Drive. CD-SUP-2024-00011 A request to approve the renewal of a Special Use Permit for a hotel consisting of four (4) hotel rooms in District B3-2 (Community Business) on about .248 acres generally located at W. 39th Terrace and Broadway Boulevard. If Council action is required following the action by the Commission, the case will be placed on a future City Council Docket for final decision.
